Claudia Piras is an illustrator from Cala Gonone, a little village nestled between the sea and the mountains. Here, she discovered extraordinary stories and met unique characters, like the bears of Trentino, Peppo the cat from Aleppo, but also princesses, singing lizards, and dragons, whose stories she brought to life through her illustrations. She loves travelling with a backpack, delving into books (better yet if illustrated!) and, most of all, telling stories with pencils, watercolours and her drawing tablet. She has published illustrated books in Italy, the United Kingdom and Germany; among them, Peppo, il gatto di Aleppo (People 2019), Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs (Fairy Tales Retold 2019), Fiabe della Sardegna (Imago multimedia 2020), Grazia Deledda – Il dono di Natale (Imago multimedia 2020), Wie die Sterne an den Himmel kamen (Hamouda 2021) e Su le zampe! (People 2021).
