Hannah Arnesen
Artist
Hannah Arnesen grew up with headphones in her ears: she used to listen to audiobooks all day. Her
favourites were Harry Potter and The Certificate by Isaac B. Singer. She began to paint while
listening to books and, once they were finished, she began to write them. Born in Stockholm in
1992, she got a master in Illustration in 2021 at Konstfack University of Arts, Craft and Design. Her
studies about writing, literature and history triggered in her a great interest toward the power that
stories exert on individual and collective thought. To her credits, she has three books for children
and a fourth one for older readers; books that the critics have appreciated by defining her “a rising
star”. She worked at Stardust for three long years, studying hard and with an emotive involvement,
and this is the book that better represents the soul of a young woman and artist like herself.
