Manlio Graziano

Political scientist, Professor and Essayist

Manlio Graziano is an Italian political scientist, professor and essayist who currently lives in Paris. He teaches Geopolitics and Geopolitics of Religions at the Paris School of International Affairs of SciencePo and at the Sorbonne University. He is responsible for the Nicholas Spykman International Center for Geopolitical Analysis. He regularly publishes on Limes and contributes to Italian newspapers such as Corriere della Sera, Il Sole 24 Ore and Il Domani. A geopolitical editor for La Voce di New York, he has also contributed to these journals: Modern Italy, Geopolitical Affairs, International Affairs Forum, Heartland, Outre-Terre, Foreign Policy. He is the author of several essays and monographs, which have been translated into various languages. The American edition of his book on the Italian political identity, The Failure of the Italian Nationhood, was reviewed by the New Yorker and The Economist. Among his published books in Italy are: The Geopolitical Strategy of The Church (Laterza 2010); Frontiers (Il Mulino 2017); The Island at The Center of The World, Geopolitics of The United States (Il Mulino 2018); Geopolitics, Navigating the Great International Disorder (Il Mulino 2019); World Disruption. Why we are living in a time of growing chaos (Mondadori 2024).
